February 25th historically damp!

Since Amarillo is facing an opportunity for such a fierce winter storm, I went back and looked at the history books for February 24th, 25th and 26th.

And it is wet!

How does 7.8″, 10.0″ and 3.5″ sound? Those are the daily snowfall records, in order, of the dates above.

Now, as it sits right now, our next system will be in Amarillo Sunday afternoon (24th) and leave by Monday (25th) so I don’t think there is a chance to break a record. But it is still interesting that the 24th and 25th are historically wet days and here we are repeating history!

Kinda neat!
