Tropical Depression Four cruises toward death, offers reminder

Tropical Depression Four isn’t well organized. It is eating dry air. And it is moving at a pretty decent clip. It continues its journey to nowhere in particular, as most models keep this as a fish storm. Here is the latest update from the National Hurricane Center.

Outside of the National Hurricane Center forecast, most of the computer weather models don’t do much with TD4, either.

In short: It’s dying.

On the heels of Cindy, it is another good reminder, though, that not all tropical systems will be massive hurricanes. And that even the not-massive-hurricanes can still produce hazardous weather.

Take a look at this interview with Chad Entremont from the National Weather Service in Jackson, MS. He talks about how for a lot of us that are inland, flooding and tornadoes are the biggest concerns during a tropical system.
