Chatting with the NWS about Hurricane Preparedness

Most of us know that being prepared during Hurricane Season is a top priority. We’ve posted a lot about hurricane preparedness this year, but I wanted to drop all of the interviews with local NWS folks in one place – just in case you guys missed one of the videos or wanted to watch them again!

Don Shepherd, NWS Mobile

“We never know when and where these landfalls will be…It just pays to be prepared”

Jason Beamon, NWS Mobile

“We’re not going to be focused on the Category – whether its a one, two or three – we are going to be telling people what we expect as far as impacts.”

Chad Entremont, NWS Jackson

“What you’re looking for with the tornado threat is those outer bands, typically on the north and eastern side.”
