10/28/20 4PM Zeta data breakdown for So Miss towns

Hurricane Zeta has made landfall across the coastline of Louisiana. It is making a bee-line for New Orleans, and may slide by just to the east as it lifts northeast toward Mississippi. It is a Category 2 Hurricane in the process of being ushers out of the area by a cold front that has increased the forward speed of Zeta to around 25mph.

That cold front will allow some of those winds to mix down to the surface easier over a larger area. I’m sitll concerned about stronger wind over a larger area. Not everyone will get Category 2 Hurricane wind. In fact that will be relegated to right along the coastline. But more people will see wind gusts higher than 30mph. And those winds will have the ability to take down trees.

Given the latest info from the NHC and data from the model guidance, there have been a few changes made to the forecasts for the listed communities. Mainly with top-end wind potential, timeline for tornado threat and the potential length of power outages.
