Afternoon, y’all! This is your weather intern Noah with your weekend forecast!
So after all the rain was dumped out today, what do we expect for the weekend? Well, Friday looks like a good, somewhat more summer-in-the-south-like day, but still hot with that chance of scattered showers in the afternoon. This weekend, a front overhead of us is going to move its way down and bring in rain for Saturday through Tuesday, so keep your umbrella around!
Friday we’ll see partly cloudy skies with a 30% chance of rain throughout the day with a high of 93 and a low of 73.
By later on Saturday, the rain will make its way in, but for the majority of the day we’ll see clouds rolling in warning of what’s to come. High of 92 and a low of 73.
The cool-down is in, but as the temperatures dip, the rain chances increase. Sunday will see rain and plenty of it, so bring a coat and your umbrella if you’re getting out of church or heading out to lunch. High of 89 and a low of 72.
I’ll leave the rest to Emily with the beginning of your week! Stay safe, be hydrated on those hot days and turn around, don’t drown!
Thanks for the lead-in Noah. Emily here, I’ll carry this through for the last three days this week.
Monday July 16th: Expect a high of 90 with a low of 74. We’ll see a great deal of thunderstorms with a 60% chance across the area and light winds out of the west at 5-10 mph.
Tuesday July 17th: Expect a high of 90 with a low of 73. We’ll see more rain continue to sweep into the Pine Belt with a 40% chance of rain to drown out the heat and annoying pollen levels. As usual, we’ll only find winds at 5-10 mph out of the southwest.
Wednesday July 18th: Expect a high of 90 with a low of 75. Yet again, the rain will sit on our heads so bring out your umbrella’s and keep them by the front door, in your car, and at work because you never know when this could all hit. Winds will remain out of the west at 5-10 mph and won’t really do much besides make the rain hit at an angle.
That’s all folks! Have a good one!
