Come Together – The Euro and GFS Alliance (a south Mississippi forecast for August 8 – Aug 15)

Good Afternoon and thanks for joining me on this wonderful Tuesday! As per the title, I believe The Beatles and later Aerosmith prompted this oddity; The ECMWF (European) data and the GFS (Global Forecast System) are agreeing for most of this weeks forecast! I know, this is quite hard to believe, but I kid you not. I would get no joy from lying to you about this occurrence and it is an honor to be able to present you with these findings. Let’s take a look at what these models have to say about the days to come.

Tonight:

We will continue to see temperatures in the low 90’s through the evening so if you plan on doing activities outside, remember to drink plenty of water and step inside every once in a while to get some cool air.

Tomorrow:

Time 7 a.m. 10 a.m. 1 p.m. 4 p.m. 7 p.m.
WX Fair Cloudy Scattered Clouds Fair Cloudy
Temperature 76 85 89 89 85
Wind None SE @ 5-10 mph SW @ 5-10 mph SE @ 5-10 mph W @5-10 mph

Expect a high of 93 and a low of 75 tomorrow with a 30% chance of rain in the area tomorrow and mostly clear skies throughout your day. Tomorrow seems like it will be pretty nice, and the local park might just be calling your name.

Thursday 9 August:

  • Expect a high of 93 and a low of 74 and still holding on to a 30% chance for rain. Mostly clear skies with some higher level cirrus and some happy cumulus clouds down closer to us should be seen but the blue skies will still reign through the day.

Friday 10 August:

  • Expect a high of 90 with a low of 74, the rain percentage increases to approx. a 50% chance for rain and possibly thunderstorms through the afternoon.

Saturday 11 August:

  • Expect a high of 90 with a low of 73, the rain give us a good start to the weekend by only looking towards a 30% chance and mostly clear skies remain.

Sunday 12 August:

  • Expect a high of 92 with a low of 73 and a 40% chance of rain around the region. Possibilities of thunderstorms and more heavy storms range all the way from the MS coast on up through Midwest. (So if you’re like me and going on a deep sea fishing trip for your boyfriends 21st birthday, get some good fish in the morning and be ready to sit inside and watch the rain from the safety of a sturdy building. . . not from a small 21′ boat in the middle of the ocean.)

Monday 13 August:

  • Expect a high of 94 with a low of 73 and the 30% chance of rain returns after playing a game of back and forth rain showers this weekend.

Tuesday 14 August:

  • Expect a high of 94 with a low of 70 with the chance for rain dropping to 20% and clear or mostly clear skies. I see a lot of cirrus development and some light cumulus cloud to give us some pretty clouds to look at but the sun will be coming back in full impact as we head into the middle of the week.

Ya’ll have a great rest of your week and enjoy these last bits of summer. If you’ve already started school, congratulations! You’re almost a done with the week and one week closer to Christmas break! Goodnight ya’ll
