Get your fill of the sunshine today and tomorrow because the rain returns to the area starting Sunday night and will be around as we move through most of next week.
There is some good news in here. As of now, I’m not overly concerned about widespread flooding despite all of the rain in the forecast. It looks like most of these days are going to be ‘hit and miss’ storms where it will rain for a bit then ease up and dry out, then another shower may cruise into your neighborhood again a bit later and rain for a while, then it’ll dry out again.
More good news? Sure! The threat for severe weather appears to be pretty low at this point for south Mississippi.
Even the cIPS Analogs are showing a near-zero risk for severe weather within the Top 15 most similar setups historically. That gives us extra confidence that the threat should remain pretty low. Not impossible, it is south Mississippi afterall, but certainly not anything worth losing sleep over.
