South Mississippi Forecast 7/22/21

Things are looking a bit drier for the next few days, with afternoon showers and storms still possible, but they won’t be as widespread (or as robust) as the past few day and weeks (and months).

As high pressure tries to take over and the Saharan Dust tries to settle across our skies, that will help to limit the potential for storms to develop.

In fact, the data even suggest storms take a bit longer to get up and moving tomorrow, too. Meaning slightly drier mornings that may stay dry through lunchtime.

Daily Timeline

Looking at the morning model data, it does look like any storms that develop today will take a bit longer to get up and moving. The timeline shows a wide net for potential storms, but it won’t be raining “all day” by any means.
