South Mississippi Forecast 8/13/21

Another round of afternoon storms will be possible today, though storms may be a bit fewer and farther between. Highs will still tag the low 90s with Heat Index values up around 105.

If you’re making weekend plans, plan on drinking plenty of water. It will be hot and humid this weekend with Heat Index values up around 100 to 105 both days. If you’re going to be outside, make sure to take plenty of breaks and stay cool when you can. If you stay to feel nauseous, have a faster-than-normal heart rate, or feel light-headed, stop what you’re going and find cooler air and some cooler water. Immediately.

Next week, we continue with the heat and humidity – pretty standard for South Mississippi.
