Southern MS/AL/LA forecast update 9/13/21 – Tropical Storm Nicholas

Here si a quick update on Tropical Storm Nicholas’ track.

If you read my update last night, I mentioned that folks in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama may need to keep tabs on Tropical Storm Nicholas as a potential for heavy rain, despite it making landfall in Texas.

This morning, it looks like the National Hurricane Center and Weather Prediction Center also agree. Some tweaks to the track and now it shows some higher rainfall totals farther east.

Instead of just 1″ to 4″ of rainfall, it is now showing 2″ to 7″ with a sharper cutoff on the eastern edge.

If you live across the southern MS/AL/LA region, please keep tabs on this system. Even through it will be making landfall in Texas, the impacts may spread pretty far off to the east.

  1. Man Nick, I can’t tell you how much you are missed here in Hattiesburg. You were just so “spot on” in your forecast and FUN to watch. Blessings for your continued success.

  2. I agree with Mr. Bowman. It’s times like this you are missed the most! Better keep a watch on this yourself, being there in Houston.
