Good morning from Corpus Christi, Texas. I’m down here giving a talk this morning so the forecast will be pretty brief. I have to say, I haven’t been here since my first visit back in late May / early June and I have to tell you that October after a cold front is much better than June after a warm front.
As for the forecast so the southern MSALLA region, it looks like as that front continues to tail off to the east, it will allow for showers and storms to develop today and tomorrow. The good news is that the potential for severe weather is very (very!) low. We may see some noisy storms here and there, but the bark will be worse than the bite.
The main concern with showers and storms today and tomorrow will be heavy rain, lightning, gusty wind and very small hail.
Things dry out a bit into the weekend, and then by the middle of next week it looks like another cold front is set to push through the region. This one may feature another round of storms, too.
