Clouds try to stick around, nice weekend: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 11/4/21

Just a quick reminder about the forecast area this should cover. The MSALLA region is two counties in southwestern Alabama, a handful in southern Mississippi and a few of the parishes o eastern Louisiana.

We probably need a better map

Things will clear out today with the clouds doing their best to stick around as long as possible. Things may not truly clear out until tomorrow. That will help to keep temperatures down in the 60s. It will also help keep overnight lows in the mid to upper 40s.

Looks like a chilly few days.

Temperatures moderate as we move through the weekend and into net week with highs getting back toward average.

Then the attention turns to the next weathermaker that will swing trough late next week. Between the Euro, the GFS and the Canadian models, there are timing differences across the board.

The one thing that is constant is that they all changed their tune about how long the rain will last. Yesterday and the day before it looked like a two-day ‘rain and flooding’ event.

Now it looks like more of a classical cold front and storms for a 6-8 hour window event.

I will continue to monitor trends and keep everyone in the loop.
