Hotter weather is coming back: Southeast Weather Forecast – 7/19/22

Hello everybody, there are few impactful systems are in place for today to start up a warming pattern in the next few days. A strong low pressure in the North Dakota will be the one of the reasons to slowly move the high pressure to the east. In the short term, the low pressure near the Carolinas will bring in some rain in the deep southeast. Then in the long term, the high pressure will move to the southeast and will bring in hotter temperatures into the next week.

For today, the heat dome from the high-pressure system in the west is starting show its effects on some parts of the southeast. The heat index values will get up 100s degrees or more. Most of Louisiana and Mississippi will be under a heat advisory with the high temperature and dewpoints will bring the heat index up to 100s degrees.

Throughout the day, there will be a 40% chance for thunderstorm activity in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina. In those states will have enough rain relief to not have very hot temperatures.

In the next two days, there will be some rainfall will be happening in the southeast to try have some relief from the very hot weather that will happening later in the day. Western Mississippi will have the most rain that is estimated to have up to 4 inches of rainfall in the next few days.
