Sea breeze storms continue to be the name of the game during the next few days with some extra ‘umph’ from some boundaries and a mini-low moving through the area.
There is a broad, weak surface area of low pressure near Florida that will back slowly drift across the Gulf. most model guidance has this as a very diffuse and disorganized low, with no real threat for any kind of development. It will need to be monitored, sure, but the potential that this turns into anything ‘worth’ something is very, very low.
Other than that, summertime continues. Afternoon storms. Hot and humid. Typical August.
There is an area of interest off the African coast that the NHC is monitoring, but that is most likely going to stay out to sea and wouldn’t be a big concern for, at least, another eight days.
