Nice through Friday night, some storms return Saturday: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 10/26/22

For those that feel like they came up short with rain yesterday, I have some good news! There is another shot for showers in the forecast! The not as good news is that it looks like the threat for rain may be nearly just as fleeting and the shot for storms is during the weekend.

Can’t win ’em all, am I right?

Model guidance suggests that the next system will take a similar path and have a similar number of showers and storms. That means some folks may be left a bit high and dry again.

There will also be another low-end risk for severe weather, too. the ML CAPE map shows some pretty meager numbers, but there is probably enough in here to warrant mentioning the potential for some brief heavy rain, lightning, wind gusts up to 60mph, small hail and the potential for a brief and weak tornado.

And a bit like this last time, I wouldn’t lose sleep over the threat for severe weather as there is a shot that some folks walk away from this with barely any rain at all – let alone a severe storm.

Other than that, the weather during the next few days looks nice. Get out and enjoy it! The Halloween forecast looks good, too!
