No real weather concerns today or tomorrow. The next shot for rain arrives on Saturday. We may see a few showers and storms as early as Friday night, but a bulk of the action arrives midday on Saturday. So if you have any outdoor plans on Saturday between 10a and 8p, you may want to have a backup plan to head indoors if a storm rolls by during the fun.
The Storm Prediction Center has outlined the area with a Marginal Risk for severe weather, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they bump that up to Slight before we get to Saturday. I haven’t run the Karrie Meter yet, but just eyeballing things makes me think this is more of a Slight Risk day.
And you may be thinking, ‘wait a second! that last Slight Risk nothing even happened‘ and you’re right. But the last one was more of a conditional risk. If you recall I mentioned it was a “high ceiling, low floor” day. Saturday the floor is going to be a bit higher. And it also looks like the ceiling will be a bit lower.
Sadly, this morning, I’m in a rush to get to work where I am pulling double duty, but I’ll do my best to run the numbers later today in more detail for Saturday.
In the meantime, enjoy the weather today and tomorrow!
