Generally benign weather with eyes on the Tropics (Yes! The Tropics!): Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 11/7/22

It is still Hurricane Season. And we have a new named system. Subtropical Storm Nicole!

This is anticipated to bring Florida a fair bit of rain and some wind in the coming days. It may sneak into the Gulf, but there are a lot of factors that should keep this thing from migrating too far west. Including a decent trough that is set to swing through.

Saturday’s 500mb map

That should save the Central gulf Coast from any potential impacts. Worth watching, for sure. But not worth losing any sleep over.

Instead, be on the lookout for generally dry weather for Voting Day, Veteran’s Day, and most of the weekend. And be on the lookout for a return of overnight lows around 40 (and maybe in the upper 30s) by next weekend, too.
