The weather will be much calmer today. As you can imagine, it doesn’t get much more active than the weather yesterday.
The National Weather Service will likely be out today conducting damage surveys for the storms yesterday. So if you have storm damage, make sure to let your local emergency management officials know. Or contact the NWS directly and let them know. Doing so is very important for you (insurance) and the NWS (for warning verification) and for Science (to understand how storms act and respond to an environment).
As for the weather: Sunny! We will have a few days with only a few passing clouds. We will see anotehr shot for a few showers by Saturday. Then another chance next week. But the main storms will be the cold.
Temperatures will be running about 5 to 15 degrees below normal during the next week. Perhaps a bit longer.
So get the jackets out! You’re going to need ’em!
