Increasing clouds through the day today with passing showers possible. We may see a few storms cruise by, too, but the threat for severe weather today is very low.
Tomorrow, the threat for severe weather will be a bit higher. A Slight Risk for severe weather was posted from the SPC this morning. That covers mainly Louisiana and Mississippi.
Looking at the CIPS Analogs data, it lines up pretty closely with the SPC forecast. With the bullseye with the best bet to see a severe storm between Vicksburg and Jackson. And that is just about the middle of that Slight Risk from the SPC.
Looking at the timeline, we have a chance for a showers and a few storms today, but the ‘main event’ arrives tomorrow afternoon, evening and into the overnight hours.
Then, we clear things out through the day on Thursday.
