I want to try something a little different today, Instead of a discussion and then a day by day forecast, Im going to try to combined the two.
Let’s see how this works:
Today. It’ll start off with some sunshine in the morning, but as the day goes on, expect it to get cloudier. Highs will be in the mid-80s, and you’ll feel a gentle breeze coming from the southwest at around 5 mph. Because it is still so dry, there is still the potential for wildfires, so please continue to avoid any outdoor burning.
As we move through tonight, get ready for some clouds and a slight chance of showers, but nothing too dramatic. Lows will be around 60, and the wind will still be pretty calm, blowing in from the south at about 5 mph. The chance of rain is just 20 percent, so you might not even need an umbrella.
Moving on to Wednesday, it’s going to stay cloudy, and the chances of showers will increase, especially in the afternoon. Highs will be cooler, only reaching the lower 70s, and you’ll feel the temperature dropping into the mid-60s as the day goes on. The other “fall-like” thing is the wind will pick up a bit, coming from the east at 5 to 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. The wind will then shift back to the northeast at around 15 mph, gusting up to 30 mph by afternoon and evening. So any halloween decorations may be swaying around pretty good. The chance of rain goes up to 60 percent, so definitely grab that umbrella.
The interesting thing about the data this morning is that it shows the system moving a bit quicker – and remaining a bit farther south. Both of those changes would limit the rainfall totals for the area. Which, today look even more meager than yesterday for places north of Highway 98.
Wednesday night, showers are likely, with temperatures in the upper 50s. The east wind will continue at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph in the evening.
As we head towards Thursday, the morning will be mostly cloudy, but it should gradually become partly sunny. There’s still a chance of showers and even a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be around 80, and the chance of rain is 50 percent.
Thursday night, expect mostly cloudy skies, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, and then a chance of showers after midnight. Lows will be in the upper 60s, and the chance of rain is 40 percent.
Moving into Friday, I think the sun returns and it should be mostly dry. Highs will be in the mid-80s.
Friday night, it’ll be partly cloudy, with lows in the lower 60s.
As we roll into the weekend, Saturday looks sunny, with highs in the upper 70s. Saturday night will be mostly clear and cooler, with lows in the lower 50s. Sunday stays sunny, with highs in the mid-70s, and Sunday night will be mostly clear, with lows in the upper 40s.
Finally, for Monday, expect more sunshine, with highs in the lower 70s.
… So how did that work out for everyone? I think it might be a bit harder to just glance at the page and find the day you want to see the forecast, but maybe that is okay? Let me know!
I like the new format! You get the summation of the day’s weather, along with a discussion explaining the details of the summation. You also get nice visual aids. My ONLY ‘concern’ is that the images have Zulu time which everyone may not be familiar with. VERY nice! I hope you keep it like this.
