Unsettled pattern through next week with multiple shots for rain: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 2/27/24

Clouds increase through the day today as the next system is set to kick through tomorrow. The front will be pretty weak as it glides through. Not much to report, aside from a thin line of storms. Some very brief rain and lightning as well as some gusty wind – thats about it.

Then on Thursday, we get a bit of a lull before the next system pushes through on Friday. This next one will be pretty disorganized.

Friday’s estimated radar from the ECMWF
Skew-T data for Friday

Originally, our AI. Weather Helper, NQLBOT thought that Friday was going to feature some severe weather, but looking at the lowest levels of the atmosphere, we will likely be too cold for severe weather to truly materialize.

That said, we will probably have some rumbles of thunder, gusty wind and maybe some small hail with storms on Friday.

Then this weekend, unsettled weather continues. There will be a mixture of sun and clouds with a chance for a few showers here and there. I don’t think there is enough of a risk for rain to cancel any plans, but know that you may be one of the unlikely ones that ends up with rain.

Then next week the next system arrives on Tuesday. And model guidance shows another round od storms and potential severe weather with that one, too.
