Front passes through, still nice: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 10/7/23

Today and tonight will bring typical early fall weather. A dry cold front is swinging through the area and should help to keep a – generally – north wind through Wednesday.

In fact, the only real weather concern will be the slightly-stronger-than-normal winds with Milton moving across the Gulf. And the combination of dry air, low afternoon humidity, and gusty winds raises concerns for fire weather.

So, while Hurricane Milton won’t directly impact the area, its movement to the south could contribute to slightly gustier winds (up to 15 mph) on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Aside from that, it is looking like a pretty typical early October week: Nice.
