A Brief… Brief for Tonight | 7/16

Starting off for this evening, a line of thunderstorms is coming from Arkansas to west and central Mississippi during the late afternoon. At that time, the line will move in and due to the sea breeze will expand eastward across the southern Pinebelt.

Due to the sea breeze’s effect, the storms will pop up inland. Some of the severe weather hazards such as hail, lightning, and heavy rain are possible with these storms as they move in from the south. The storms should start forming around sunset and the rest of the rain will arrive shortly afterwards.

Most of the heavier cells will shift further south towards southern Louisiana and push through Baton Rouge and New Orleans. The less heavy stuff will stay towards the Mississippi Louisiana border and move eastward with some moderate rain. The rain will eventually dissipate during the early morning and we will return to our normal hot and humid pattern on Monday.
