A few showers tonight, tomorrow, then dry again: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 10/31/24

Nothing scary in this forecast.

Our primary weather concern is the weak cold front set to reach our area this afternoon and evening. This will likely spark off showers and storms this evening that may linger overnight. While conditions aren’t favorable for widespread severe weather or flash flooding, heavy downpours shouldn’t be entirely ruled out.

As far as Trick-or-Treating is concerned, it looks like most spots will end up dry until after 8p. By 8p tonight, it looks like showers will start to push into the I-55 corridor. So if you live west of I-55, expect the rain to start before 8p, if you are east, it loks like you’ll be dry until 8p (or later).

The rain will stall out and likely fall apart overnight.

By Friday, the cold front will slowly shift southeast, leading to more isolated to scattered rain chances (around 20-30%) with nor real risk for severe weather. Then, on Saturday, a high-pressure system over the Great Lakes will bring drier air to the area.

Looking to early next week, it looks like we may have another round of rain possible by midweek, but there is still some question about just how much ‘umph’ we will get from teh front that is set to move through.

Stay tuned for updates as we monitor these evolving weather patterns.
