Hello everyone, the low-pressure system has entered the Gulf of Mexico to provide another chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon in SW MS. In the morning, it will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with a low temp in the low 70s Then in the afternoon, it will be starting to ramp up as the developing scattered thunderstorms and showers will starting to approach in the SW MS. The dew point temperatures will be in the low 70s throughout the day.
This weak low-pressure system will be stuck between the two high pressure system for the next few days. Depending, on how close the high pressure system to the low pressure system migh limit amount of room for it to develop showers and thunderstorms. The reason for this because the high pressure will cause a sinking motion to limit any convection for the storms to develop.
It seems like the high temperature will vary with the amount of cold relief from the rain will hit in SW MS. It will most likely will be in the upper 80s for the high temperature.
Most of the early morning, the storms will develop in the Gulf of Mexico and slowly going up north. After 10am to 11am CDT, the storms will start developing from scattered thunderstorms to widespread in the afternoon hours.
