We have some clear weather for our two minor league teams this week as well as for our away Yankees. It will be fairly cool for the Renegades while the Shuckers deal with lots of heat. Let’s get into the details!
New York Yankees
Tonight the Yankees continue their away series against the White Sox in Chicago at 7:10pm CDT. The temperature will be in the mid 70s. Humidity will start around 55% and increase to around 64%. It will be a very clear night with winds at the surface around 5mph. At 150ft winds will be around 9mph pointing infield. Overall a pretty clear night for some baseball!
The Yankees finish out their series in Chicago at 7:10pm CDT. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s with humidity ranging from 65-70%. Cloud coverage will be around 48% for the game. Winds at the surface will be around 8mph and at 150ft winds will be around 15mph. These winds will be pointing infield towards the first baseline. The wind may have some impacts on ball motion especially fly balls.
Biloxi Shuckers
The Shuckers begin their home series against our M-Braves at 6:35pm CDT. Temperatures will be in the upper to mid 80s. Humidity will start around 70% and increase to nearly 80%. Cloud coverage will start around 30% but clear to around 10%. Winds at the surface will be around 8mph. At 150ft winds will be around 15mph pointing towards right field. These winds will be strong enough to have some effect on fly balls and may help them swing a little more towards right field.
The Shuckers and M-Braves play Wednesday night at 6:35pm CDT in Biloxi. It will be a hot game with temperatures in the upper 80s. Humidity will start around 70% and increase to around 85% by the end of the game. Cloud coverage will start at around 16% and clear up throughout the game. Winds at the surface will be around 7mph and at 150ft they will be around 12mph. These winds will be pointing towards right field. After a very hot day we won’t see much of a cool down this evening.
Thursday night at 6:35pm CDT the series between the Shuckers and M-Braves continues. Temperatures will be hot again in the upper 80s. The humidly will be around 70% and increase to around 82%. Cloud coverage will be around 16% to start and clear up to around 8%. Winds will be around 5mph at the surface and around 9mph at 150ft. These winds will be pointing in field towards home plate. Another pretty hot and humid evening!
Hudson Valley Renegades
The Renegades kick off a week long home series against the Hickory Crawdads tonight at 6:35pm EDT. Temperatures will start in the upper 70s to start the game but drop to the low 70s come the final innings. Humidity will be starting around 60% but gradually increase throughout the game up to around 77% by the end of the game. Cloud coverage will be around 20% for most of the game and will clear some more as the game continues. Winds will be very minimal at the surface and at 150ft they will be low for the first few innings and only getting up to 6mph in the middle innings. These very light winds will be pointing towards the right foul line and will have minimal impact on ball motion. A pretty calm and cooler night!
Wednesday night the Renegades face the Crawdads at 6:35pm EDT. Temperatures will be similar to Tuesday with temperatures tarting in the upper 70s and cooling to the low 70s. Humidity for the first half will be around 50% and for the second half that humidity will increase to around 70%. Cloud coverage will also be similar to Tuesday with cloud coverage around 15%. Winds will be slightly stronger with surface winds around 4mph. At 150ft winds will be around 8mph pointing towards the first baseline. These winds will have little effect on ball motion.
Thursday the Renegades home series against the Crawdads continues at 6:35pm EDT. Temperatures will be in the low 70s for the evening. Humidity will be pretty high starting around 76% and getting up to 88% by the end of the game. Cloud coverage will start around 30% and dissipate to clear skies for separators traveling home. Winds at the surface will be light and at 150ft we will see winds around 3mph pointing towards the first baseline. It will be a cooler but much more humid night.
