We are still waiting on the line of storms to arrive this morning (as of this writing at 445a). They should pass through the area pretty quickly, too. From start to stop, the rain should last about 30 minutes tops.
What will last quite a bit longer is the wind. It is breezy now, it’ll be breezy with the rain and then it’ll be breezy when the rain leaves.
The severe weather threat remains quite low, but not zero. A wind gust up over 60mph is the most likely threat. And while we can’t rule out a brief tornado, even that would be really hard to come by this morning.
Then later this morning we clear things out and we have a great looking weekend!

Thanks so much for the info, I really appreciate what you’ve done for everyone. May God bless you in your future endeavors, you are truly missed in the Pine Belt, thanks again for not forgetting us!
Thanks, Nick, again, for looking after us even though you don’t really have to now! I appreciate, greatly, the in-depth analysis you cover. Our local weather declared yet another Severe Weather Day WAY too far in advance. I’m afraid they might learn what the story about the little boy that cried wolf was all about. I agree we need to be advised when severe weather is possible but I just remember that it was few and far between when ‘you’ would declared one when you were still there. We REALLY miss you!!
