Calm but hot weather expected in the South: SE MS / SW AL Weather Forecast – 6/14/22

Hi folks! Today’s weather is expected to be calm with high temperatures in the mid 90s accompanied by unpleasant humidity. This humidity will cause Heat Index values to climb slightly above 100F (stay hydrated!). Pop up thunderstorms are possible this afternoon/evening due to plentiful moisture, otherwise expect sunny skies.

As Nick mentioned in the 6/11/22 forecast, an area of high pressure will remain consistent across the region. Only minor variations in the overall pattern are expected in the upcoming week, so plans to stay cool in the AC or going swimming are all great ideas to beat the heat!

This stagnant pattern will be coupled with the abundant moisture/high temperatures helping to produce general thunderstorms the majority of this week; however, chances of precipitation will be relatively low and drier air is expected to arrive this weekend which will diminish any thunderstorm threat.
