Drying out briefly, another shot for rain Wednesday: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 11/11/24

I hope you picked up some rain today! I know the area really needs it and a lot of backyards are starting to crunch a bit. Estimates from NCEP may be undercutting some of the rainfall, but there wasn’t a ton of it going around.

A cold front passing through the area tonight will bring an end to rain, with som patchy overnight fog. Expect cooler overnight lows in the 60s. Tomorrow, high pressure moves in, keeping skies clear and dry, with daytime highs around 80.

High pressure will dominate until Tuesday night when a trough and cold front approach from the west, bringing moisture back to the region. Scattered storms are expected by Wednesday afternoon, with rain tapering off by Thursday evening as the front clears out.

The estimated radar imagery from teh ECMWF doesn’;t show much rain, but at this point, we need all we can get!

After Thursday, expect dry weather through Saturday with cooler-than-recent temperatures. That said, cooler-than-recent is still plenty warm.
