The rain from overnight has moved out – for the most part – with clearing skies as we move through the day. It will be a bit breezy, though.
Then things look good through the weekend.
The next chance for storms shows up on Wednesday of next week. The Storm Prediction Center has already outlined parts of the region with a Slight Risk for severe weather. That is a “2” on the 1-to-5 scale where “5” is the highest risk for the most significant severe weather.
If this holds, it would likely mean a Marginal Risk for severe weather across much of our area. That is a “1” on the same 1-to-5 scale. The main concerns would be brief heavy rain, lightning, gusty wind, small hail and the chance for a brief and weak tornado.
Not much to worry about at this point, but I will continue to monitor things and Noah will have a look at it over the weekend, too.
