Looking at the next few days, things will be rather warm. Even with an area of lower pressure off the east coast drifting back to the west, it isn’t doing enough to cool the area down. In fact, it is doing the opposite! With a northeast flow aloft, it is keeping the air – slightly – drier and allowing temperatures to get pretty balmy on the southeastern edge of the ridge across the central US.
The area of low pressure will continue to drift back to the west and eventually fall apart across Georgia as we move through the weekend. That should give a slight boost the chance for some rain.
