Hot and miss storms today and tomorrow, but don’t cancel plans: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 7/3/22

Things are looking a bit soggy at times during the next 48 hours as the chance for storms will be with us today and tomorrow. So if you have plans for the Fourth, make sure those plans include a plan to duck inside if a storms develops nearby.

Rainfall totals will depend on where these afternoon storms develop, but looking at the guidance, it suggests that storms may be a bit more numerous on Independence Day than today.

The totals shown above would be from regular afternoon storms, and not from a cold front. Most guidance suggests rain may only last for a few hours – at worst – both days.
