Hot heat continues warmly — and other scalding puns: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 5/28/24

How hot? Maybe slightly warmer than this weekend.

Looking ahead to Wednesday through next Tuesday, a mid-level weather system will bring a chance of isolated to scattered storms mainly in the western and central parts of our area on Wednesday. Rainfall amounts will be less than a quarter of an inch.

For the rest of the week, isolated to scattered showers and storms will continue, especially in the west, due to weak low-level disturbances. From Friday through the weekend, a stronger system will move across the southeast, bringing scattered showers and storms to the entire area.

By Sunday to Tuesday, temperatures will begin to rise again, with afternoon showers and storms expected.
