I made a song titled “Eye of the Storm”

So, friends. I did a thing. I didn’t mean to, but I did.

I made a pop song.

No, no, no. I am not singing. No one wants to hear that.

I used ChatGPT (or ChatMP3 as I like to call it, now) to make this pop song. I asked Chatty McGPT to create a pop song about sheltering during a tornado.

I fed it a prompt, “Can you write an pop song about taking shelter during a tornado?”

I figured it would be hokey and talk about taking cover when thunder roars, or being stressed while huddled in your safe place without knowing what was happening outside. Something. It used an extension, “Suno,” to create an “original upbeat pop song.”

And I got this….

It’s called “Eye of the Storm”, and it – I’m quoting here – “mixes energetic synths, strong percussion, and catchy female vocals with a message about safety, resilience, and yes—dancing through chaos.”

There are a lot of things wrong with this song from a Science standpoint. For one, the “eye” of a storm, and I’m assuming it means a hurricane, is calm. Not chaotic. And a hurricane is an entirely different meteorological phenomenon than a tornado.

And no one, in the history of time, has danced in their shelter during a storm.

But here we are.

Look, when I can be involved with making a pop song, I think it is fair to say that Homer had it right…

I can’t wait to win my Grammy Award.
