Do y’all remember when I made the “Box of Rain” by the Grateful Dead reference? Well, it’s not quite here to ease the pain, more like warn for completely opposite-like days! Good afternoon, y’all! I’m your weather intern Noah with your short term forecast, and Kendall will take care of you for your weekend and into next week. What we’re seeing come by us in the next two days is a front that made its way far enough south to give us some rain, and by the end of the week, there’s another cold front that makes its way behind the current one and dips down just far enough to pop up some more storms. We’ll see colder air coming from a trough passing north of us while the warmer air is coming from the gulf to spark some storms especially during the early weekend.

Let’s check your rundown for Tuesday. We’ll see a high of 88 and a low of 75 with winds coming out of the west at 5-10 miles per hour. Intermittent rain will prevail throughout most of the day and we’ll see overcast skies when it isn’t raining. At 7, there will be scattered rain across the area with your temperature in the mid-to-upper 70’s as you get ready for work. By 10, there’s a higher chance for rain all around with temperatures around 82 degrees. At 1, the rain persists with temperatures slowly climbing into the mid-80’s. At 4, we’ll see mixed chances of rain throughout while hitting our high of 88 and overcast skies. Before the sun goes down at 7, we’ll still see the rain around in some areas with temperatures around 86. I’d say to keep the umbrella with you all day in case the rain moves into your area because it’s definitely going to happen somewhere.

On Wednesday, we’ll see the rain continue into the morning hours, then fading chances as we move into the afternoon. High of 89 and a low of 74. Winds northwest at 5-10 mph.

Thursday is when we see things clear up, but not without the heat coming into make things muggy after all that water has been in the ground. Possible chance of an afternoon thunderstorm with all of that leftover moisture, but overall just a hot and humid day. High of 93 and a low of 74 with winds coming out of the north-northwest at 5-10 mph.
