Don’t worry, I am a Michiganian born and raised – I celebrated when Stevie Y raised the Cup in 1997, I cried when he gave the Cup to Vlady in 1998 – and I live and breathe Michigan weather. - I have a BS and MS in meteorology
- I chased storms and covered weather in Oklahoma for 5 years
- I serve the weather community as a Lightning Safety Specialist for the National Lightning Safety Council and in leadership positions with the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association
- I’ve published research on lightning in tropical cyclones, present research at conferences yearly, and have served on committees to validate potential world weather records
