Isolated storms this week, Saturday looks wetter: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 6/7/23

It looks like things will remain pretty ‘summer-like’ as we head through the rest of the week. Afternoon storms will be possible each day with high temperatures around 90 degrees.

Things may change a bit as we head toward the weekend. With USM hosting Tennessee in the Super Regionals, I know all eyes are on the weather forecast for Saturday. And I will say that things got a bit more interesting overnight.

The ECMWF weather model is now showing a slightly better chance for rain on Saturday afternoon than it was all day yesterday. Or the day before.

In fact, the Ballpark Forecast looks a bit different than yesterday, too. Much more favorable for hitters. And much more favorable for rain/lightning.

This isn’t ‘change your plans’ kind of rain, but it may be worthwhile to start thinking about back-up plans if your plan is to be outside.

Other than that, hit and miss storms look to continue.
