We continue to monitor the chance for showers on Christmas eve and into Christmas morning. Poor Santa Claus is going to need a rain poncho to keep him dry cruising across the Pine Belt!
Until then, though, things look generally dry. And seasonably chilly. We will continue to see overnight lows in the 40s and afternoon highs in the 50s and 60s.
The rain that does kick through late Sunday night and through Monday midday should be a decent soaking rain. The growing season is over, but this should help to replenish the ponds and streams. Estiamted rainfall totals from model guidance look to be between about 0.5″ and 2.0″ in total. A few spots may see even more than that.
Beyond that, things dry back out and cool down again as we close out 2023 and start 2024.
