South Mississippi Forecast 5/24/21: Dry weather lasts through Thursday

The current pattern looks to hold as we head through most of this week because things start to break down as we head into the holiday weekend. That said, right now the Memorial Day weekend doesn’t look ‘wet’ by any stretch. It will just feature a chance for afternoon ‘summer time-style’ storms as we trade out one ridge of high pressure for another one.

Radar estimate from the ECMWF for Saturday afternoon

While making the atmospheric swap, Mother Nature may also try and shove a little area of low pressure through the region to the north during the weekend – giving a boost to the chance for rain north of I-20.
