Thigns are looking a bit drier today, as we turned over the atmosphere pretty good, yesterday. Oh, there is stilla shot for rain. But it does look like storms may be a bit more sparse.
And as we move through the rest of this week and into the weekend high pressure will try to take control in the Gulf. It won’t. But it is going to try. That plus some Saharan Dust will lead to lower chances for rain through the weekend. But not a zero shot for rain.
Nudged between the developing ridge in the Gulf and the ridge out west will be a little area of lower pressure. That will be enough to keep showers and storms in the forecast through the weekend.
As we move through next week, the high pressure eases back into TExas, pushes that litle low into the PAcific and oepns the door for a mid-level area of low pressure to swing into the Gulf from the east.
That will re-energize the atmosphere with more shots for rain in the area.
