Short-range model guidance shows any fog clearing out by 10am. The rest of the day should be mostly dry with just a handful of showers here and there. This is actually pretty surprising given how much rain was showing up in the medium-range models just a few days ago.
But hey, no complaints! The ground needs to dry up a bit, so a drier day (still a chance for rain, just not as high) is welcomed.
Now the attention turns to Sunday and Monday for the next system slated to move through the area. That one may be a bit more potent, featuring heavy rain, frequent lightning, wind gusts up to 50mph and the potential for a brief tornado.
That said, like I’ve been saying, making tornadoes in the area once we get into May gets tougher and tougher, so I’m not overly concerned about the tornado threat.

Thanks for the update.
Thank you VERY much for the daily updates … means a LOT! Getting a pretty good amount of rain here this morning … hoping by this afternoon it’ll ease up. Also hoping the potentially severe stuff on Sunday will, somehow, fizzle before then. Just VERY glad you’re keeping an eye on it for us. We’re all missing you!! NOT discrediting, in any way, the ones doing the weather now but really missing the extra bit of information you would always include with yours. I would know more about why it’s doing what it’s doing and what it’ll be doing in the future.
Live being able to read your post! You always keep us one step ahead of the weather! Keep up the good work!!!
Obviously that should have been love not live
