Still nice, still dry, looking cooler: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 10/14/23

No major changes to the forecast. A dry cold front is set to move through today. That should knock temps back a bit in the coming days, While no clouds are accompanying this front, you’ll notice a shift in winds to the north and a drop in dew points as the front passes through.

Temperatures both today and tomorrow will top out in the mid 80s.

Then by Tuesday some actual cooler air will settle into the area. This will come with some gusty wind, too. That’ll knock temps back into the 70s for highs! Really, really nice weather. Here is how it looks for the next 15 days from NQLBOT:

The one thing that may bother some folks is the lack of precip during the next two weeks – it looks pretty dry. But this is our “dry season” so to speak, so we don’t usually get much rain from passing fronts this time of year. So we may have to wait a few weeks before we get a meaningful shot for rain.
