After a few days of fairly scary weather with some instances of tornadoes and straightline winds, we’ll see some relief coming soon! We’ll also see temperatures look more summer-like as we move towards the middle of the week.
First off, the stationary front we’ve been dealing with for the past couple of days is finally moving out to our east. Areas of Alabama, Georgia, and Florida will see a good bit of rain and thunderstorms before this thing finally moves to sea. At the same time, there is a small MCS in the Memphis area that will move southeast into central Alabama and even some parts of east central Mississippi. This looks to evolve a bit and gain some traction as it comes in during the evening.
Temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s today and into the mid 60s tonight. Clouds will start to clear out by sunset. Tomorrow, we’ll have some areas of dense fog in the morning to start our day off with sunny skies for the rest of the day. We may see some cumulus clouds develop into the evening hours with north winds and the sea breeze colliding. Temperatures will reach up to 90 degrees during the day and into the upper 60s at night.
By Monday, the surface high will move in to the southeast keeping rain chances away for the next few days. We’ll have southeast winds pulling in and temperatures reaching the low 90s and into the upper 60s/low 70s overnight.
