Showers and storms are back in the forecast as we close out the week and head through the weekend. The best bet for rain looks to arrive on Saturday as a little complex may spill south out of Arkansas and Tennessee.
Otherwise, afternoon storms here and there – a bit like July – will be the name of the game through Sunday.
As we move into next week, it looks like a ridge will take back over to the west and a trough to the north. That will put the region back into a northwest flow and that will limit the afternoon storms.
That means, for those needing the rain, that the next few days are going to be your best bet for precip.
