Baseball Forecast- 6/19/24

Baseball season is in full swing and we have plenty of games to forecast for the next few days. Plenty of hot weather for our two minor league teams and our major league team. Let’s get into it!

New York Yankees

The Yankees look to keep on top of the American league as they face the Baltimore Orioles for game 2 of their series at home. The warm weather will continue as we will see temperatures will be in the mid 70s for most of the game which takes place at 7:05pm EST. The warmer evening temperatures help lower the air density which is helpful for fly balls. We have some humidity that will continue to build throughout the game with some scattered cloud coverage. We will have a breezy evening with winds around 15 mph at 150ft going out to left field so the potential for fly balls to head further out in that direction is possible. It looks like it could be a good night for our batters and the left fielders should be ready to catch some fly balls!

Ballpark Forecast for Wednesday at Yankee Stadium

Brooklyn Cyclones

The Cyclones continue their series against the Jersey Shore Blue Claws at home at 7pm EST tonight. It will be a mild and clear night with temperatures in the upper 70s for most of the game with a strong breeze coming off the water. The winds are going towards the infield which means a batter will have to put quite the swing on the ball to get it out of the park. The winds will calm slightly as gameplay continues but will remain in the low teens.

Hudson Valley Renegades

The Renegades continue their away series against the Greensboro Grasshoppers on a clear and mild evening. The first few innings we will see temperatures in the low 80s but that will cool as we get towards the end of the game with temperatures dipping into the upper 70s. We will have a slight wind coming from the west which will help lead balls to right field and with the warm humid temperatures we could see potential for better fly balls out in right field. Overall great baseball weather!
