Today’s forecast: Quality work from AtmosCenter students

Need a forecast for the next few days across southeastern Mississippi, southern Alabama or the western Florida panhandle? These students have you covered.

I’ve got to say, I wasn’t this skilled coming out of college, so the sky is the limit for these “kids” at the University of South Alabama.

These forecasts are produced by AtmosCenter, the “student-run broadcast system that provides weather updates to University students, faculty and staff,” according to the South Alabama website. And while they are not updated daily, it is pretty close to daily! That is a big responsibility for a handful of students to carry.

The video above was put together by Jordan West. You can follow his Facebook page here. Other students that kick out videos are Jacelyn Wheat, Grant Skinner, and Michael Crowley.

Big props to these students!
