Typical late July weather means hot, humid with a chance for storms: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 7/25/22

Scattered storms are still in the forecast for the next few days. It looks like the chance for rain will be a bit closer to the coast, so if you live closer to I-20 the chance for rain will be a bit lower.

Upper-level wind is not going to be favorable for storms to get very robust today and tomorrow. Wind closer to the surface will be from the south and that will flip around and be back from the northeast around 20,000ft. That will have a tendency to rip storms apart before they get too potent.

And if they are able to overcome that, it won’t last for very long.

The pattern of smaller chances for rain and higher chances for heat will continue through the week and toward the weekend.
