Now that the storms has kicked out of the area, things will start to calm down pretty quickly. As high rpessure builds into the area, things will be a bit cooler in the coming days and feel like Winter again with overnight lows in the 30s and afternoon highs around 60.
But that won’t last long.
It looks like the pattern as we move through the end of the week, through the weekend and into next week will be pretty mild. All of the cooler air will be locked up across the Great Lakes and Northeast while a subtropical ridge will keep recirculated Gulf of Mexico air in place for us.
That means mild conditions with no real short of cold fronts and cooler conditions. It also means we may see repeated low-end chances for showers and storms as little disorganized systems ride through the region. That means a chance for some meaningful rainfall for some spots – likely farther north.
Good news with that is it means no widespread organized severe weather. The bad news is it will leave us humid and warm as we move through the first week or December – won’t feel very Christmasy.
