Hello everybody, there will be an increase of precipitation and thunderstorms as the low-pressure system from Gulf of Mexico is slowly moving up north in the Southeast states. It will remain near the coastal states throughout the weekend. Also, be prepare for another humid day because the dew points are going to be in the upper 60s to low 70s.
The low-pressure system will be bring continuous moisture to the Southeast and Texas for the next few days. With the tropical disturbance in the gulf will bring more heavy rainfall in the Southeast by having more fuel of moisture going to the Southeast states for the thunderstorms.
Depending on the amount of rain will be in your area will determine the temperature for your area. In some places the temperatures will be in low 80s to low 90s in the afternoon. The heat index values will not be as extreme for today as it will go up too low to min 90s for today. In the next few days, the temperature will start slowly climbing to 90s as the rain will start to clear up into early next week.
Be aware for any flooding in your area as there going be a slight risk for Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana for today to July 2nd. From the WPC forecast discussion mention that near the Houston areas and people in the slight risk will have around 4- 6 inches of rainfall.
