Yes, I’ve Seen the Cooler than Normal Temperature Map, But Why is it Happening?

After a rainy weekend last weekend it looks like were in for some more but it won’t be a wash out or rain all day both days. Temperatures remain warm because it is July in south Mississippi. The weather stays quite for the weekend and first part of next week but that is when things start to change a little and again remember this is July in south Mississippi. Now that I have giving you a few things to remember we are looking at a chance for some cooler temperatures towards the end of next week. First lets talk about Friday and Saturday.

Friday – Typical summertime day with highs in the low 90’s around 91 degrees skies will be partly cloudy with winds out of the south around 5 MPH which will give us a small chance of a shower but only around 20 percent for Friday. Moving into the overnight hours we drop into the mid 70’s with lows around 75 degrees.

Saturday – Another hot summertime day in south Mississippi with highs right around 90 degrees skies will be cloudy with winds out of the south once again meaning a chance for rain around the area and a little higher than what we seen for Friday chance of a shower in your area 30 percent. As we move into the overnight hours we will drop into the mid 70’s once again with lows around 74 degrees.

So if you haven’t seen it on Facebook already, people have been raving at cooler temperatures coming to the Southeast by next week. Why is it happening? You’re probably not asking this, but more than likely you’re ecstatic to go outside and not melt as soon as the sun beats down on you. Of course, this comes at a cost. We’ll have more clouds coming in due to a front moving across the eastern US with some of the rain coming our way.

Sunday there will be a few clouds in the sky with a possible chance of an afternoon thunderstorm, but otherwise just a normal hot day. High of 93, low of 72 and winds Southwest at 5 mph.

Monday sees a shift in winds while we’ll still have a relatively hot day and a slight chance of a thunderstorm. High of 92, low of 72 and winds west Northwest at 5 mph.

Tuesday is when we get the line of storms rolling into the southeast with rain throughout the day. High of 88, low of 71 and winds North at 5 mph.

Wednesday we’ll see a possible chance of rain leftover from Tuesday’s line, but otherwise a few leftover clouds left from the front. High of 90, low of 69 and winds Northeast at 5 mph.

Thursday we begin to go back to our normal summertime pattern but temperatures will remain slightly lower than normal with a slight chance of rain in the afternoon. High of 90, low of 70 and winds South at 5 mph.

Have a good week!
